Expect to work with your coach at least 6 months because that’s what it usually takes achieve most big goals and see significant tangible results in their life and career. However, if you see during the first month that the coaching is not working for you, we offer several options including assigning a different coach to establish better chemistry or discontinuation.
Sure. Some clients hire a coach to help them accomplish specific goals or projects. Very often, however, tasting the success coaching brings, they continue working with the coach to accomplish even more.
No. How? We aren’t doing psychological work, offering medical treatment. We’re not trying to control or manipulate the client, either. We’re asking questions, helping the client discover more of themselves and providing skills to manage their thoughts and behaviors for success. It’s a collaborative partnership.
Desire perhaps, but not dependency. Because clients’ often recognize that coaching helps them maximize their opportunities and accelerate their growth, they often choose to continue leveraging this powerful and unique relationship. Dependency is neither something your coach will want nor is it something he/she will allow. Remember, we’re not resolving issues here. The coach is helping the client to create a better future: More success, more money, and a higher quality of life.
Coaching is becoming popular for several reasons:
- Many people are tired of doing what they “should” do and are ready to do something special and meaningful for the rest of their lives. Problem is, many can’t see it, or if they can, they can’t see a way to reorient their life around it. A coach can help them do both.
- People are realizing how simple it can be to accomplish something that several years ago might have felt out of reach or like a pipe dream. A coach is not a miracle worker (well, they are, sometimes) but a coach does have a large tool kit to help the Big Game become a Reality. Fortunately, people now have time and resources to invest in themselves in this kind of growth.
- A culture that values independence is moving towards one that increasingly values interdependence. We call it the “single warrior mentality.” Simply put, we can do much more, much better and much faster with a coach helping us win the game of life.
Please, give me some context about coaching…
A professional coach is like having a sports coach but more completely and in a much bigger way. Your RCS coach will challenge you and will take the time to find out what living a successful life means to you. Your RCS coach will be a confidant, accountability partner, mentor at times, friend on occasion and above all, you’re most influential resource in fulfilling your God given purpose. You RCS coach is someone to hold you accountable for choices you make, actions you take and results you create, making sure you really do live up to your potential.
As humans, we were designed to grow, mature and change. If we’re not growing, we’re dieing. For many of us, the idea of more success, more money, closer relationships, a deeper feeling of meaning in life and more joy evoke mixed emotions. Thoughts like, “sounds good but that’s just not reality” or “I have it pretty good, why should I do anything differently” crop up and therein lies the limiting beliefs that will severely limit the boundaries of reality for you. When we think of reality, we typically think of the past and perhaps the present. Future reality is where the stretching really needs to happen. You’ve heard the saying, “whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.” You’re RCS coach is trained to see the potential in you that you may not see in yourself. That’s often times all we need, someone to see our true potential and help us see more within ourselves. It is the nature of people to want to attain more, become more, be more, and we all struggle with how to get what we’re looking for.
Most people believe that “hard work and doing it on your own” are the keys to finding the life, success, money, or happiness that they seek. They believe that a price must be paid to attain what they want, and often that price is poor health, not having enough time to enjoy life, strained family relationships or lessened productivity. The saddest part is that, even though this effort may result in more of something, it is often not the something you had in mind, and you are back where you started, or worse, further from your real intentions.
Athletes and performers know about this trap. They know they need someone else, a trained someone else to help them set goals, discover real needs, and work effectively toward ultimate goals of excellence. So, they are willing to hire a coach or a teacher. No serious athlete or musician would expect to progress very far without one.
What about people who are already doing great in their lives. Why would they need an RCS coach?
It’s not about “needing” a coach. The question is do they want something more out of life…a greater sense of destiny, vision or purpose? Are they tolerating something in themselves or their lives? Are they doing what they enjoy doing the most? Are they missing out on significance because the illusion of safety and seduction of comfort hold them hostage? Are they going to be financially independent within the next 15 years? Do they have what they want most? We’ve discovered that, often, people need to expect more out of their lives. A coach can help in this process.
RCS Coaching works for several reasons:
- Synergy between the coach and client creates momentum.
- Better goals are set — ones that naturally pull the client toward the goal rather than goals that require the client to push themselves to the goal.
- Through our proprietary coaching model, the client develops new skills, and these skills translate into more success.
While our proprietary coaching track provides a structured discovery process, we focus where the client needs us most. Our first priority is to understand who the client is personally and strengthen that foundation. We want the client to rapidly move from scarcity to abundance, emotionally and tangibly. At the same time, we want to discover together their desired outcomes, where they want to be. We call this two-part launching pad “Self Discovery and Outcome Clarity.” From there, we help the client develop a plan to move rapidly in the desired direction leveraging goals, new thinking skills and continuous improvement. Along the way, we help the client have fewer problems, a lot more joys and a focus on what’s going to make them the most successful.
Both! With the line between personal and business life often blurred, the RCS coach is the only professional trained to work with all aspects of your life. We also have coaches with specializations ranging from marriage and family to sports. If you have a special need, please let us know so we can do our best to satisfy it
• You take yourself more seriously.
• You take more effective and focused actions immediately.
• You stop putting up with what is dragging you down.
• You create momentum so it’s easier to get results.
• You set better goals that you might not have without the coach.
Simply put, that we humans are great, that we’re all discovering what we really want and that we can figure it out and get it faster and easier by having an RCS professional coach passionately and skillfully helping you along the way.
Friendships are incredible gifts but the relationship between you and your coach vs. best friend are quite different. The coach/client relationship is a professional partnership with the focal point being YOU. This wouldn’t’ be appropriate for a friendship. Often times, our friends want to offer advice rather than guide us through a process of self-discovery. And lastly, “best friends” are typically not trained objective professionals you can trust to process through some of the most important aspects of your life and/or business without a personal motive or bias. Have a best friend and an RCS coach.
Professional coaching leverages similar principles as sports coaching, like teamwork, going for the goal and peak performance. But unlike sports coaching, most professional coaching is not defined by a set of defined rules of play or focused on external competition. We help the client define their own “game(s)” in life and strengthen their thinking and behavioral skills in order to “win” the game of life.
Coaches don’t “treat” mental health disorders.
- Coaches are collaborators rather than psychological “experts.”
- Therapists rely on psychological theory, etiology and treatment plans for wisdom while coaches look within the client for wisdom.
- Therapy often asks, “Why?” and concerns itself with the client’s past; coaching often asks, “What?” and concerns itself more with the present and future.
- Therapy seeks to single out and fix unresolved psychological issues; coaching is more concerned with thinking and behavioral patterns in the pursuit of greater fulfillment, dynamic balance and big goals.
- Co-Active coaching focuses on the client’s whole life; traditional psychotherapy targets specific symptoms.
- Traditional therapists withhold intuitive thoughts; coaches blurt intuitive thoughts.
Generally speaking, consultants are paid to diagnose problems, prescribe specific solutions and often times offer implementation of those solutions. The assumption with coaching is that the client is capable of generating their own solutions with the coach providing skilled support, discovery based approaches and framework.
The term “coaching” is thrown around a lot today. Many proclaiming to “coach” are really mentoring or training. They tell you what to do and how to do it, their way. Our proprietary coaching process, The Advisor 7 Secrets, is designed to “unlock” all the dimensions of personal and professional success to create a path that’s as unique as you.
Other coaching programs are often approach you from one dimension, with a very narrow focus. These programs are great if you want a “system” within your life and business. Your “world” is much broader than that so RCS works with you in all dimensions of your life. We realize you can’t compartmentalize your work and life so our model is comprehensive. RCS coaching offers a proprietary approach to personal peak performance in life and career.
As our slogan states, “We start at the beginning, with your thinking.” So many other coaching programs, seminars, books and CD’s focus on goal setting and behavioral “tactics.” While fundamentally good, their effectiveness is limited by our thinking. Everything starts with our thoughts, what we say to ourselves determines our choices which determine our results. RCS’s exclusive Mind Scan thinking assessment accelerates the coaching process by 3-6 months compared to other coaching services. This self-awareness empowers our clients to discover what they really want and the compelling “why” behind it. Leveraging the power of our proprietary coaching resources, you and your RCS coach will put together a Score Card to focus your time and energy, track and measure results and manage your thinking to accelerate the process!
You should also know that RCS coaches are an elite group of accomplished, highly skilled and trained professional coaches. In addition to their independent coach training and certifications, RCS coaches are also certified by RCS in the use of our proprietary Mind Scan thinking assessment and RCS coaching process.

According to the International Coach Federation:
“Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Professional coaches provide an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in their personal and professional lives. Coaches’ help people improve their performances and enhance the quality of their lives.
Coaches are trained to listen, to observe and to customize their approach to individual client needs. They seek to elicit solutions and strategies from the client; they believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful. The coach’s job is to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has.”
